If you are not already a registered user of SeaSources you
will have to click on
"create a new user account ".

On the next screen, fill in all of the personal information
accurately and type in your user name and password of choice. Remember them. After you are in the system you can change
your personal information and password. Remember that the username and password
are case sensitive.
All personal information and e-mail addresses are kept strictly
confidential and are not given out to mailing lists nor do we use
addresses to bombard you with useless Spam. If you do not remember your
username and password then e-mail
me and I will send it to you manually as soon as I can. You may also
fill in any miscellaneous information or comments you wish then hit
the submit button.

After creating an account you will be
taken directly to the online quizzes. Upon returning, go to the
login page. If you have tried to create an account in the past and
never received your login information it was probably due to an
invalid e-mail address entry. If so please try again.

If your login was successful then you will be presented with
the next choices. Click on " Take A Quiz "

This screen will present you with 3 pull down lists.
You will be given the choice
of selecting which category you wish to test on. In this example we
will choose "All Deck Examination Questions".
More categories, subjects and questions are being added.
Under the "All Deck Examination
Questions" Category you will see a pull down
list of 42 subjects under that category. In this example we will choose the
subject of "Rules of the Road (Combined)"

Next, select one of the 20 question quizzes to take
under this subject. There are 41 quizzes of 20 questions per quiz under "Rules
of the Road (Combined)" . In this example we will choose quiz number
15.

After making all the selections click "take Quiz"
Next, the first of 20 questions come up and step through in
order. The screen presents some other useful information as well as the choice
to select another quiz if you wish. Scores will not be recorded to your personal
history unless you complete a quiz. To answer the question you simply highlight
the answer you believe is correct with your mouse pointer and left click. When you come to a question which has an illustration needed
to answer the question the "Click here to see diagram"
will be present. Left click on diagram.
When you click on diagram, a new window will pop up with the
related illustration. You can maximize the window to get a good look before
making your choice for an answer but it is best after you have made your choice
to close the illustration window out completely to avoid getting a buildup of
open windows across the bottom of your screen.

That answer was correct. Click here to continue will
take you to the next question.

If you choose an incorrect answer then the answer you should
have chosen will be highlighted in gray. When this happens you should try to
memorize the correct one for the next time you take this quiz. Your scores
will rapidly improve.

When you reach the end of each quiz you are presented with your
score for that quiz as well as a system wide comparison.

One of our most useful features is your ability to see a
recorded history of all the tests you have taken in the past thus seeing where
you may need to work harder on your scores.

We all hope you enjoy using this service as much as we do
putting it together.
