Well I took Elements 1, 3, 7, 8, & 9 and scored 100%, 96%, 90%, 96% & 100% and earned my GTMDSS Operator/Maintainer w/RADAR endorsement.
Thought you'd like to know. (License # DB00000706)

Thanks for your help and the use your practice exams.

Thank you for the chance to practice the USCG deck/sail questions.  I scored 19 out of 20 and passed my sail endorsement test on Friday.  I now hold my 50 ton, coastal, sail license…with your help.

I have just passed the two first sections of Motor 1 & 2 at Seattle Coast guard.  Your study guide was right in line with the questions that I got. Both scores were 81%.
The real truth to the matter was that I had gone to "Crawford Maritime's" refresher course for the past month and came away from them feeling very poorly. After studying your course on the computer the following week, I felt more confident and ready.  You guys are great!

Gentlemen:

I had let my license expire after I quit sailing. I had to take seven USCG test modules to get it reinstated. With the help of your online test, I was able to pass all seven modules the first time. Got my Chief Steam and Motor back. Thanks guys. Anything I can help with at your company?

I feel like I should drop you a line and let you know how much your site helped me pass my exam. I just graduated from the California Maritime Academy and I used your resource to help me through the Rules of the Road section. The way the inland rules were in a separate section from the international rules really helped me to remember the differences. Also, the mock tests were more helpful to my memorization than the way the questions appear in "Murphy's". The site also helped me with the sections on deck safety and deck general. I have recommended the site to several other people. Thanks for helping me get my initial issue.

This is to say thanks and to let you know that I recently took a test with the USCG for AUX SAIL and passed with a grade of 100% Studying with your program probably made a big difference in my grade, and I really appreciate the extra help.

I just wanted to thank you for this web site. I am studying for my 3rd Mate license and this is going to be a key in getting my mind ready for these questions. A friend of mine did this bank of questions by himself (by hand) and it took quite a bit of useless time. As a Navy reservist in charge of 12 potential and 3 qualified coxswains, I have used the site for their training. I have also recommended it to several others outside my unit.

All of my classmates recommend it for cramming for the Rules module, they're pulling 98's and I'm pulling 88's.

Seems like a great way to get information. Not much solid info on some things out here. Glad to have found this site

I REALLY LIKE THE WAY THE Q&A ARE SETUP WITH THE DIAGRAMS IN WITH QUESTIONS. I HAVE NOT RAN ACROSS ANY OTHER CG Q&A CD's IN MY SEARCH HELP IN SETTING FOR MY 3RD's LICENSE. THE PRICE OF THE CD's VERY, VERY GOOD.

Thank you for your web site. I am studying for my 3AE license and I find your site to be an excellent help with my studies. Your test questions are a real help when it comes to being familiar with the standard verbiage that I will find on the USCG test.

Great Site!!!! I teach at Texas Maritime and ran through a stability module yesterday at work. Are rules your only CD for sale? Thanks MM

I really have enjoyed your site. I just took my AB test yesterday and got grades of 97% on Lifeboatman, and 88% & 94% on the two AB sections. One small suggestion I might have is that, if you are planning to add any more questions in the future, you might include some on the hand, light, & code beach to boat lifesaving signals. There were a lot of those questions on the test. Once again, I feel that your sight is wonderful and I have given the link to several others who are studying. I will continue to use the site as I work on license upgrades.

YOUR SITE WAS HIGHLY RECOMMEND BY A FRIEND FOR THE TESTING OF THE USCG LICENSE REQUIREMENTS. DAVE

I have not regret visiting your site. A very good source of knowledge in the field of seamanship. Great illustration by the use of diagrams from [rules of the road]. I think I am now more competent as coxswain

GREAT SITE TO ENHANCE ONE'S ABILITY IN SEAMANSHIP THOROUGHLY.

Well organized and recognized organization, that, I believe, will enable me to complete the requirements, to pass the USCG exam and obtain a captains license.

Appreciating you guys for creating an online study so some of us could learn from home and I find it to be the best I have ever come across.

would be nice to add a few more quizzes for general nav such as: compass correcting, chart projections, rhumb lines, great circles, who publishes each pub, definitions of- azimuths, bearings course, course made good, heading, track, speed made good, fix, running fix, LOP, Dead Reckoning, converting GMT to ZT, questions on magnetism and which magnets correct for which deviation, variation/deviation, special case bearings, tidal calculations. Those are some of the things that we are tested on in Nav 1(terestial nav) at Great Lakes Maritime Academy. I have not taken all of your tests, so I probably overlooked a portion of your material, some of these things you already have. I liked the section on Aids to Nav, it was very thorough. It would also be nice if you had chart problems to print out. The Coast Guard uses like 3 charts for their testing and if you could provide additional chart problems for these it would be very helpful. If you are interested I can E-mail you an example. Also multimedia tutors would be cool for like doing chart work, plotting and doing current sailing and whatnot. You could have an example chart with audio and visual instructions. I am a second Year cadet at Great Lakes Maritime Academy and these are a couple thought that I would find useful for studying for exams.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET THE CFR S DOWNLOADED THAT WE MAY NEED FOR DECK GENERAL? IT WOULD REALLY BE HELPFUL IM GOING FOR MY 100T MASTER 200TMATE THANKS ANYWAY THIS IS AN AWESOME SITE KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK

Hi Folks, Seven years ago, I was taught how to use a sextant and the Nautical Almanac, by an expert in Navigation. Several months ago, I picked up my old notes and the copy of the my 1997 Almanac. I was a little fuzzy using the Almanac until I came across your Website - it brought it all back to me. Your site is so well written. I'm sure it took much time to develop but I'd like you to know how much it means to people in my situation. I'm in the local USPS, here on Long Island and now when anyone talks about sight reductions, you made it so that I'm right "there" with them. Thanks for your efforts.

This is the best way to study yet I'm sitting for my 1A/E License and I'm sure i will do fine. Going to the book's is a great way to study but when I found this web site I just sat the book's aside on the computer makes studying very fun you get an overall feel for what your doing. Thank you all for this site

This is really starting to look Good! Al

Excellent Site for Mariners Seeking License Prep - This site speaks for it's self. The resources and services that Seasources.net provides is outstanding. My progress towards a Third Mate's license is advancing in leaps and bounds. My classmates ask me how my studies have gone above and beyond, I tell them: "Go to Seasources.net, I swear by it!" Thank you for making a stellar site. John California Maritime Academy

Greeeaaaaaat - Excellent and easy to use. I was impressed with the quantity of material here. Have not yet started to work through it all yet but will do so in time.

SeaSources was Recommended by a class mate who scored 100% on USCG rules of the road exam after using this site as a study aid.

Hello SeaSources, I tried studying Celestial Navigation through Bowditch and found it mind numbing. Your online course is great and understandable. Thanks Capt. Don

While studying and using your on-line questions I was able to pass the USCG Exam for my 100 ton masters license. Thank You Capt. Joseph

I would like to compliment SeaSources as an excellent resource. Although I was only testing to add the Great Lakes to my current 1600 Tons Master Inland License, the quiz questions were extremely helpful. I was unable to find any other assistance on the web (including the USCG site) on what topics the exam would cover and sample questions. In closing I would like to thank SeaSources for providing the necessary information in order to pass the Coast Guard exam.

Very inspiring, thank you! Good luck to you in the future.

I am 39 years old. I left the semiconductor industry six years ago because my stress level exceeded my SAT scores. I have lived in a ski resort since then and have spent much time contemplating my future. Your online schooling has given me a second chance at a new life other than being a ski bum. It also puts my skills from when I was in the Navy to use. Thank you for a new life.

DEAR SIR, I HAPPENED TO HIT YOUR WEBSITE BY CHANCE. I WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS MY APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE FOR TAKING UP THE TASK OF EDUCATING MARINERS ONLINE FOR FREE. YOUR ENDEAVOUR IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF PUBLIC SERVICE AND A NOBLE USE OF THE INTERNET. I HAVE BENEFITED IMMENSELY FROM THE USE OF YOUR ONLINE QUIZZES. HOWEVER, I MAY BRING TO YOUR ATTENTION THAT SOME OF YOUR GMDSS QUIZ SENTENCES ARE INCOMPLETE. YOU MAY LIKE TO CHECK THEM OUT ONCE AGAIN. WITH REGARDS AND GOOD WISHES,

Hey Steve: I hope you are doing OK, Im interested in ordering from you everything needed for starting to get my eng. documents. Call when you get a chance

My counter indicates that I have quite a few referrals from your site, so I just thought that I'd pop in and say "Howdy!" ----- HowdyDave

hi mate I worked out the problem downloading, I'm off to a good start now, with the studying.

Nice Site

My folks sent me an email about this site. I have been in the Navy for over 7 years and unfortunately let my 3rd A/E license expire that I got thru Maine Maritime Academy (class 0f 97'). I will definitely use this site to help me get my license back. Thanks,

Thank you for this website ,and keep helping us all in the maritime industry any time that I'm going to get any endorsement in my MMD I certainly come to your website in order to study ,and it prepares me better. Thanks .

Great site guys, please let me know if you are interested in exchanging links with our sites. http://www.baliprivatevilla.com

I recently finished my USCG Engineering testing and received my 3AE unlimited motor license. Thanks is due in part to SeaSources online study and I want to sincerely thank you folks. Your twenty question repetitive format is right up my alley. When I start to make more $$$$$ I want to purchase the whole set of questions.

Hello, I just found your site and I'm very excited to share it with my shipmates. We are tall ship sailors aboard the brig Lady Washington. After a year of volunteering, I am pursuing a career as a mate/master. Several of us aspire to get our AB and Master's licenses, and this site appears to be a very accessible, thorough way to reach this goal. Thank you for the time you have devoted, as this seemingly user-friendly forum is rare! Between the "advice" I get from fellow sailors, either green or salty, and the confused jumble I find on the USCG site, figuring out a way to fit the studying/class time in, and figuring out exactly which classes are needed has been hard. I hope to be able to join and use your site very soon.

Great site guys, I will share this with friends

Good site; Lots of good Information here.

Great work ... excellent site Bob Donovan http://www.firstaidinternational.com.au">First Aid International</a>

Thanks for the great web site. I passed my exams for Master Inland and Great Lakes 50 tons, with Sail and Towing, and without question your on-line exams were the most helpful study aid that I used.

MY NAME IS MUGU MUHAMMED I AM A TRADER I LOVE THIS SITE KEEP IT UP.

I, am appearing for my class 4&2 exam, I, have gone through the sample papers&found it quite good, but I could not find any justification\reason for the answers, please let me know where I can search\find the same. Thanks

I am very proud of you. Great job. Great knots...L

When it comes to mariner education and license upgrades, I don't make a habit of promoting one product or another since they all pretty much do what they need to do albeit for a stiff price at times.  I came across a license prep website a few years back and took a liking to it right away, it was free. The ability to quiz yourself on any subject and have a running total on your progress was just what I needed for some exam prep.  Did I mention free?  I wish to add I have no affiliation with the authors of the site.  I do however applaud the product, it has matured nicely over time.  There is software for sale but the free online practice exams are very  handy
