The following screenshots are a preview of how TesTTaker
will appear during download and after installation on your computer. We
have 22 screenshots listed below. Give them time to load and review them
all. We highly recommend that you install and understand the
functions of this software BEFORE making any purchases of exam
question downloads.
If you are installing this software, please read and understand this whole
tutorial.
When you click on the link
to download this software the following dialog box will appear.

Choosing Run will download the files to a temporary
folder from which they will automatically start the following
process.

The next box will show you the progress of the download. The
time represented here is at 50.6 kbps on a dialup connection.

When this box appears next, click "Run" again.

The following box begins the installation process. Click
"Next".

After reading the user agreement, click "I Agree".

Accept the destination folder. Just click "Install".

The next is just an installation progress box. When it says
completed click next.

When this box appears hit "Finish".

This next step is where we seem to have the most
problems. Testtaker is opened from your desktop start menu just like any
program. The software can now be opened from your desktop Start/All
Programs/SeaSources/Test Taker. Notice that the "Update TestTaker" and
"Uninstall" are also located here for future reference.

After clicking on "Test Taker", the following
will appear. If you have an internet connection click "ok".

Which brings us to this box. Here is where you must enter
your User Name and Password that you use to get into the online study
site. If you do not have a UN/PW, you must create
an account for the SeaSources Online Study. This information
is needed to retrieve your data from the server.
When you have entered the info, click "OK" again.

This screen verifies your already established online study
account. You only have do do this registration process once when you
first start TesTTaker. This is just to identify you with the server for
retrieving downloads.

If your User Name/Password are accepted, you are into the
new software, and the following screen will appear. Here you should first
try "Take a remote test". What this will do is simply hook you up to the
server, if you have an internet connection, and you will be able to take all the tests just as you would in the
online testing site. When you choose "Take a Test" the software is
running on locally installed tests which do not need to be online to take.
To install tests locally click on "Download test modules". This will
take you to the following screen.
What we are
running now is v1.15 and that is what should show on your actual software.

After you click on "Download Test
Modules", The next screen will show you what you have available to download
and install on your computer. These will be determined by whether you have
had previously purchases modules from SeaSources or if you wish to
purchase
other modules they will be added to your list and will be visible here
when you come back to this page. Remember that the whole purpose of this new
system is that these quizzes are "installed". You do not need to be online
to take the quizzes and they run faster than the online quizzes. They
are thus portable, so to speak, and can be added to and upgraded from
anywhere you can get online. The three marked with the blue dot are Free
Sample Downloads. Highlight "Lifesaving" for example then choose Download
module(s).

When the Downloads complete box shows up click OK.

You now have the installed module "Lifesaving" on your
computer. Now click on "Take a test".

This screen shows all the pull down menus for installed
modules. Since the only one installed so far is "Lifesaving" choose OK.

The Lifesaving module has 19 quizzes of 20 questions per quiz.
Select any one and choose OK.

This takes you to the first 20 question quiz. You can either
pick correct answer with mouse pointer or A,B,C,D. on the keyboard. Hit enter or
click on the "Correct/Incorrect" icon below the question to go to the next
question. When you come to a question that has an illustration it will show up
below the question.

When you choose an incorrect answer the correct choice will be
highlighted. Remember it for next time.

Have Fun!
